A Fractal Profile

It is very hard to write my profile due to the zigzag fractal path of my
life. Here are some profile points to ponder:

  • Helped overhaul printing presses
  • Built a 3-speed bicycle from parts and overhauled 3-speed hubs
  • Designed and built an FX for a play
  • Learned how to prepare tissue samples and view them on an electron microscope
  • Ranked 3rd in NYC wide math team contestants
  • Wrote an RTOS for a VRU system
  • Taught at Harvard Medical School
  • Sold books door to door in Des Moines, IA
  • Solo port of BSD 4.1 to NS32K board
  • Technical editor of 5 Perl books
  • Wrote world scale web crawler (Alta Vista era)
  • Linda and I owned a gourmet cocoa company
  • Produced classes for Damian Conway in Boston
  • I make the world's best latkes
  • Been with my wonderful wife, Linda since 1990

All of those will get stories here. They are all true (mostly). And so will the many crooks and nannies which fill up my fractal life path.

So to summarize, I am a retro-nazi klansman of the royal confederacy. Or not. You decide.
